Commission FAQ
What will I receive when my commission is finished? / what size canvas do you work with?
You will receive the highest quality digital images via dropbox link in .jpeg and .png. I currently work with 16x20” (4000x5000 pixels), CMYK, 250dpi canvases by default, if you need this customised please let me know prior to the sketch. The speedpaint is available for a small additional fee upon request.
How do I commission you? What does that process look like?
The easiest way to explain this is via a list!
1. The first step is to contact me by submitting your email above with a breif, I’ll reach out to you with a more accurate pricing estimate and ask for further details such as references.
2. Ideas are discussed until we are ready for me to sketch it out.
3. I shall sketch out your idea, blocking in rough background shapes and loosely placing markers for subjects, or areas with focused detail, we can go back and fourth a fair bit in this stage until you’re ready for me to truly begin.
4. Payment is due at this point over PayPal, in full if under £250, if over £250 and necessary, half is expected, with the following half due prior to the final render and files being sent through. If you do not wish to continue after the sketch, you will be required to pay a £20 fee for time and materials used.
5. With payment through, I will begin working on your commission, providing frequent updates and potentially asking for your feedback. (you may opt out of these if you like surprise)
6. The final update, 99% finished at this stage, I shall ask for any last changes, and/or the remainder of payment, before going ahead with some final touch ups.
6. The finished piece in .png and .jpeg format will be sent to you attached via Dropbox link. Please note: my Dropbox faces regular cleaning, make sure you save your files somewhere! (I can always reshare but this may take time)
How can I commission you for commercial use? (Book illustrations, merch, etc)
Please contact me via the contact section of my site, providing some information about the project.
I will get back to you within 1-2 business days to discuss rates and what I am capable of fulfilling for you.
The commission process itself will be similar to my usual process, please refer to the above question tab.
How do you take payment?
PayPal only at this time. In one whole amount at the start if under £250; in two halves if over £250, prior to exchanging the final files.
Do you do payment plans?
Not currently.
Will you accept USD, EUR, etc ?
Yes! I accept payment in any currency as long as it’s equivalent to my GBP pricing, check here for current exchange rates.
Can I tip you?
It’s absolutely not necessary but always extremely appreciated!
How many references do you need? Do you take low quality images?
Visual references are always appreciated, especially if I’m working with a pet, or complex OC, but not absolutely necessary, as long as you can be descriptive with your ideas! I may self seek references for areas within the scene.
How long should I expect to wait?
3-30 days depending on what you commissioned, character/pet/scene complexity and my current to-do list. I tend to take on 1 commission at a time, if I’m busy on a commission I shall get back to you ASAP with when I next estimate an opening.
What can I do with my finished artwork?
You may share it to you socials with credit, add it to character pages with credit, use as a profile picture, make prints for personal use (mugs, pins, stickers, gifted items, etc are all okay as long as use is personal) and any other personal purpose.
What can’t I do with my finished artwork?
You can not use my art commercially for anything, including but not limited to: prints, stickers, t-shirts, books, etc, unless contracted otherwise. You can not claim it as your own work, it is not to be fed into any AI image generators.
Your commissions are closed! When can I get one? Waitlist?
My commissions never tend to be closed for long, check back frequently! To join my commission waitlist and be notified as soon as I’m available to work with again, please either submit a commission form as usual and I shall bookmark your brief and get back to you to let you know you’ve been added to the list, or submit a contact form asking to be added. Alternatively, join my regular email list, however I rarely communicate commission availablilty through there.
I’ve seen your traditional paintings, can I commission one of those?
At the moment, I am very new to working with acrylic and oils, so not yet! I want to make sure I can execute your idea to my best ability, and not whilst I’m learning on the go.
Will you draw my fursona?
Yes! I’m more then happy to draw your sona’s feral form in my style. If requested, anthro forms may be accepted depending on references provided, complexity and so on.
Will you draw my alien OC?
Yes! As much as I love my usual cats, dogs and dragons, I can’t wait to work with something more unique!
Will you draw dragons or lizards?
Yes, hello fellow dragon lover! I’d love to meet your scaly friends, fictional or not!
